Life as a Christian can be uncomfortable. Jesus told his disciples they needed to deny themselves, take up their cross, and follow Jesus. We can’t follow Jesus if we’re focused on or living for ourselves. We have to say “no” to our flesh, “yes” to a life of sacrifice, and make Jesus the focus.

As Christians, we build our lives on the foundation of Bible. When we dig deep into Scripture, we are able to survive the storm, discover freedom, and build higher and stronger than by ourselves.

This week we look at the promise God makes to us concerning legacy – God’s kingdom will come, and it will bring all good with it. But we don’t idly wait, we work to build the kingdom of God and see its promises made real around us today.

In this message, we read a miracle of Jesus providing for his disciple’s needs. We too can trust Jesus as our savior and provider, knowing that wherever He leads us, He will also provide. Our part in trusting means we keep the right motives, engage with the assignment God has for us where we are, and take care of what God has given us.

We will always face storms, whether our own lives feel tossed around or the world around us feels like a swirling mess. If we follow Jesus, we can have confidence that the storms we face always have a purpose. Storms will strengthen us, grow our faith in Jesus, and give us opportunity to seek surrender and see miracles happen.

In this series, we’ll be talking about a handful of the miracles that Jesus did and what we can learn from them. There are 2 things that miracles are meant to show us: that Jesus is God, and what is possible for our lives when we live completed submitted to the Holy Spirit.

We should be FAITHFUL in our finances – Focused, Anonymous, Invested, Teachable, Hard Workers, and Fulfilled.
