Most Christians are familiar with the 10 Commandments: a list of rules given from God, to Moses, after He had rescued them from slavery in Egypt. These commandments are not merely rules for people of the past. God’s words are as relevant and powerful now as when first given, and the commandments He gave are vital for us to follow. Let your love and admiration of God put him first in all things, and analyze your priorities in the light of His salvation.

The new year has started, and we have all, in some way, made plans and goals for 2025. But our process may be different from God’s pace and plan for us. Are we willing to surrender our plans, days, processes, goals, dreams, and expectations to listen, walk in obedience, and let God make the plans and set the pace for us instead?

Fasting is a practice we read about in the Bible, but often have questions about how, why, when, or if we as modern Christians should practice fasting. Today we’ll talk about some of those questions and answers, and explain five reasons why you should pray and fast.

In Luke 11, Jesus teaches his disciples how to pray. After giving the Lord’s Prayer, he tells a story that seems strange in context. Through this story, we can learn how Jesus teaches us to trust and pray big prayers.

The Gift of Jesus is a wonderful thing for us to remember this Christmas season. Isaiah writes prophetically about the Messiah to come, and about the names and titles of Jesus that we can learn and celebrate.

During this season, we are easily distracted by lights, events, gifts, and holiday stresses. This Christmas, let’s remember to wait for Jesus, celebrate His birth, and emulate the example of Jesus’ life through our own.

As we go into the holiday season, today we start at the end. Whatever questions, situations, or struggles we have, Jesus is our answer. He is worthy of our time and attention, and is the only one who can make things right in our lives. So let’s get up, put Jesus first, and walk in the miracles and victories He has already done.

Today we read a story featured in all 4 Gospel accounts – a woman offering Jesus a significant sacrifice. Our lives as Christians should be marked by moments of significant sacrifice, like the woman from today’s story. We grab hold of opportunities to sacrifice, focus on pleasing God instead of everyone else, and prepare our hearts and minds for what God has in store.
