As we continue reading in the Old Testament, we see the Israelites follow a cycle, “again” doing evil and turning from God, being subject by other kings and nations, before “again” crying out for God to save them. God brings Ehud to deliver them, an unlikely and unexpected person, who refuses to remain under the oppressive king, lets God make use of his weaknesses, and in a moment of fear, remembers the faithfulness of God.
