All of the wells mentioned in the Bible lead people to God. At wells, people encounter God and see His vision for his people. Without vision, we face frustration and confusion, but when we align ourselves with God’s vision for us, we find direction and purpose. God can do “more than all we ask or imagine” (Eph 3:20) and his dreams and visions for us far exceed our own imaginations. He created us uniquely, with a tailored purpose to His grand plan for the world. Walking in God’s vision requires us to trust Him and be willing to be led by Him. We must practice personal discipline and restraint from pursuing any and all of our desires. As disciples and students of Jesus, our Rabbi and teacher, we model our lives after his, follow his teachings, and let him define where we go and where we won’t. Jesus is “the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6) and the only will worth living for.
